BMW/MINI Scheduled Maintenance

At ASM BMW Parts and Performance, we provide professional scheduled maintenance services for BMW and MINI vehicles to keep them running at peak performance and reliability. Following manufacturer-recommended service intervals, our team performs essential maintenance such as oil services, fluid checks, filter replacements, brake inspections, and comprehensive vehicle evaluations. For newer BMW and MINI models (roughly 2014–present), maintenance is typically guided by the vehicle’s Condition Based Service (CBS) system, but these are the common service intervals most owners follow for reliability and longevity:

Engine Oil & Filter

  • Every 10,000 miles or 12 months (BMW recommendation)

  • Many specialists recommend 5,000–7,500 miles for better engine life.

Engine Air Filter

  • Every 20,000–30,000 miles

Cabin Air Filter (Microfilter)

  • Every 15,000–20,000 miles or once per year

Spark Plugs

  • 30,000–40,000 miles (turbo engines)

  • Up to 60,000 miles on some non-performance models

Brake Fluid

  • Every 2 years regardless of mileage

Coolant (BMW / MINI Antifreeze)

  • Every 4–5 years or 50,000–60,000 miles

Transmission Service

  • Automatic: 60,000–80,000 miles

  • Manual: 60,000–80,000 miles
    (BMW calls some “lifetime,” but specialists strongly recommend servicing)

Differential / Transfer Case (xDrive / AWD)

  • 30,000–60,000 miles

Brake Pads & Rotors

  • Typically 30,000–50,000 miles depending on driving habits

Fuel System Service / Fuel Filter (model dependent)

  • Around 60,000 miles

Drive Belt & Tensioners

  • Inspect around 50,000 miles, replace 70,000–90,000 miles
